Annual MAC 19
April 19-May 8
Every year, we dedicate April 19 - May 8 to celebrate the 19 days McKenzie shared with us. At 28 weeks and weighing in at 1lb., 4oz., McKenzie never needed a ventilator. The staff at Texas Children’s Hospital called her Miracle Mac. She truly was a miracle in her fight to survive and the impetus she left us to help future preemies.
We have found that everyone we visit with either was a preemie, knows a preemie, had a preemie or knows someone who did.
So, MAC19 was created to raise funds, all of which are donated to families of premature babies to help with the exorbitant medical costs, the babies themselves, and research to get closer to saving ALL preemies.
We donate EVERY penny raised. We have NO overhead as the charity is run by volunteers and partners of the charity. There are absolutely NO administrative salaries nor fees. We created it that way due to the fact that funds we raised for other charities never made it to the babies.
